Clermont is a Florida suburb of Orlando, located just 22 miles west of the metropolis in Lake County. It is included in the Orlando–Kissimmee–Sanford Metropolitan Statistical Area. Approximately 32,000 people call the city home. The Florida Citrus Tower, built in 1956, was one of the first Florida landmarks to be created.
A Brief History
Our town was founded in 1884 and officially incorporated in 1916. It draws its name from the birthplace of Clermont Improvement Company founder, A.F. Wrotniski, in France. The location was ideal due to its close proximity to many important water sources, including the Clermont chain of lakes and Lake Apopka. The area is also characterized by rolling hills.
These days, our city is a rapidly growing suburb. Residents can pursue a multitude of outdoor recreation activities at the Clermont Waterfront Park, such as paddle boarding, swimming, fishing, kayaking, bicycling, and more. Notable residents of Clermont include professional PBA bowling player and announcer Randy Pedersen, children book author Kate DiCamillo, MLB player Shane Greene, and former American professional motorcycle racer Ryan Dungey.

Principal attorney Mark P. Cressman established Cressman Law Firm, P.A. in 2006 after spending many years defending both plaintiffs and defendants in personal injury cases. At that point, he felt the community of Clermont would be better served if he narrowed his focus to only defending individuals and families struggling with personal injury legal issues.
